The Aviation Marketing Manager at Performance Flight is responsible for planning, executing, and managing marketing, social media, content, lead generation, event support, and brand communication for Performance Flight's aviation services. This full-time position supports flight training, aircraft rental, aircraft management, pilot services, aircraft services, acquisition support, and other company initiatives. The Manager is expected to maintain a high standard of brand quality, accuracy, client experience, responsiveness, and operational discipline consistent with Performance Flight's premium aviation service culture.
This role requires a hands-on marketing professional who can create content, manage campaigns, write compelling copy, coordinate vendors, track performance, and work effectively around aircraft, pilots, instructors, clients, and airport operations. Prior aviation marketing experience is strongly preferred. A pilot certificate, active flight training background, or direct aviation experience is highly preferred.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketing Strategy and Execution
- Develop and manage Performance Flight's monthly and quarterly marketing calendar across digital, social, email, website, events, print, and aviation community channels.
- Create and execute marketing campaigns to support flight training, advanced training, aircraft rental, aircraft management, pilot services, aircraft services, acquisition support, events, and other company priorities.
- Translate leadership priorities into clear marketing plans, timelines, deliverables, and measurable goals.
- Monitor aviation market trends, competitor activity, Cirrus community content, local airport opportunities, and client behavior to inform marketing decisions.
- Recommend improvements that increase brand visibility, qualified lead generation, referral activity, client retention, and overall marketing effectiveness.
Social Media and Content Management:
- Manage Performance Flight's social media presence across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other relevant aviation or business channels.
- Plan, capture, write, schedule, publish, and manage high-quality content including aircraft features, training milestones, instructor profiles, client spotlights, aviation education, event recaps, reels, stories, photos, and short-form video.
- Capture on-site content around aircraft, instructors, students, pilots, clients, simulator training, fly-outs, aircraft deliveries, maintenance activity, and appropriate daily airport operations.
- Maintain a professional, polished, aviation-appropriate brand voice across all channels and ensure content reflects Performance Flight's premium service standard.
- Respond to social media comments, messages, and inquiries professionally or route them to the appropriate internal team member.
- Build and maintain an organized photo, video, and creative asset library for recurring marketing use.
Digital Marketing, Lead Generation, and Analytics
- Support and manage digital campaigns designed to generate qualified inquiries for flight training, advanced training, aircraft rental, aircraft management, aircraft services, and related aviation services.
- Manage or coordinate paid advertising efforts across Google, Meta, LinkedIn, aviation media platforms, and other relevant channels as approved by leadership.
- Track performance metrics including impressions, engagement, website traffic, form submissions, inquiry quality, lead source, conversion activity, and cost per lead when applicable.
- Work with leadership and client-facing teams to understand which leads are converting and which campaigns are producing business value.
- Recommend improvements to website content, landing pages, calls to action, inquiry forms, email follow-up, and marketing automation.
Website, Email, and Brand Communications
- Maintain and update website content as needed, working with internal resources or outside vendors when applicable.
- Write and edit marketing copy for web pages, landing pages, email campaigns, newsletters, brochures, event promotions, client communications, and recruiting support.
- Manage email marketing campaigns and newsletters for students, pilots, aircraft owners, prospects, partners, and other company audiences.
- Ensure marketing materials are accurate, current, visually consistent, brand-aligned, and appropriate for a premium aviation audience.
- Coordinate with outside vendors including web developers, designers, photographers, videographers, printers, agencies, media partners, and event partners.
Events, Partnerships, and Aviation Community
- Support marketing and promotion for company events, fly-outs, open houses, owner events, training seminars, safety meetings, aircraft showcases, and community outreach activities.
- Attend select events to capture content, support the client experience, and represent Performance Flight professionally.
- Help identify aviation partnerships, sponsorships, local business relationships, Cirrus owner community opportunities, pilot group engagement, referral opportunities, and media opportunities.
- Represent Performance Flight with professionalism around clients, pilots, aircraft owners, vendors, airport personnel, and aviation industry partners.
Reporting, Project Management, and Accountability
- Provide regular reporting on marketing activities, campaign performance, social media growth, lead generation, engagement, website activity, and other key marketing metrics.
- Use performance data to make recommendations and adjust marketing activity based on results.
- Maintain organized records of campaign calendars, creative assets, vendor contacts, advertising spend, project timelines, approvals, and performance results.
- Manage marketing projects with clear priorities, deadlines, ownership, and professional follow-through.
- Perform additional marketing, communications, brand, event, or business development duties as assigned by senior leadership.
