Dassault Falcon Jet recently opened a state-of-the-art flagship Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility at the Melbourne Orlando International Airport (KMLB) in Melbourne, Florida. Dassault Falcon Jet will serve customers across North and South America and beyond, the complex will accommodate all current Falcon models, (including the new, ultra-long-range Falcon 10X, the largest purpose-built business jet), and will be capable of performing major maintenance and modifications on up to 18 Falcon models.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Quality Assurance and Training Supervisor reports to the Chief Inspector and is responsible for supervising the Quality department and managing the Repair Stations Training Program. The Quality Assurance and Training Supervisor is responsible to the Accountable Manager for Repair Station Operations conducted under 14 CFR 145.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Quality Assurance and Training Supervisor shall have a working knowledge of and be the local authority of all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations and the RSQCM.
- Be thoroughly familiar with the Quality Control systems and procedures of the Repair Station/Quality Control Manual and keep personnel assigned aware of the Quality Control systems and procedures relative to their assignments
- Plans, organizes, staffs, controls, and supervises the Quality department.
- Promotes aviation safety by ensuring airworthiness and quality in aircraft maintenance.
- Maintains the FAA Repair Station Manual and Quality Control Manual.
- Assists with interpretation of Federal Aviation Regulations into company policy/procedure.
- Assists with Administration of the companys quality systems.
- Assists with preparation of department budget for fiscal year operations.
- Assists in the development of strategic plans for the continuous improvement of quality.
- Assists with the Internal Quality Audit Program.
- Coordinates with Operations Manager and the Quality Assurance Manager for the requirements of the Repair Station Training Program and maintains the technicians training records.
- Assists with the administration of the Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic equipment calibration program.
- Supervises the Repair Stations recordkeeping requirements.
- Ensures that all technical data is current.
- Assists with the issue of inspectors stamps and assists with administration of the Repair Station rosters.
- Submits recommended individuals for repairmans certificate.
- Communicates company and department managers goals and objectives to his/her staff, and communicates the staffs suggestions and concerns as appropriate.

- Identifying, Qualifying and Managing Internal Instructors
- Conducting Annual Training Program Reviews
- Maintaining Training Records

- Delivering Formal and On the Job Training
- Manage and or Deliver Indoctrination Training
- Maintaining continuous compliance with regulatory requirements
- Preparing Training Budgets
- Shall be certificated under 14 CFR part 65.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager.
Note: The Quality Assurance and Training Supervisor may delegate all duties assigned. However, such delegation does not relieve the Quality Assurance and Training Supervisor of the overall responsibilities.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 3-5 years of Quality Inspector experience preferably on Falcon or other Corporate Jet aircraft at a 145 Repair Station.
- Minimum 3-5 years experience training/mentoring in Aviation Maintenance.
- Minimum 3-5 years experience at Supervisory role.
- AS9001 - ISO9001:2015 experience in Quality role or auditor.
- Safety Management System (SMS) experience - administration, training, compliance.
- Experience auditing a Quality System
- Corridor/SAP experience along with training platforms
- A&P license required, bachelors degree or higher preferred, will accept technical training equivalency to 4-year degree.
- Must be able pass Melbourne airport background check.
Compensation and Benefits
The compensation for this position typically falls between $98,000 and $115,000 per year. This position is not eligible for overtime. This position may be eligible for a sign on bonus or relocation assistance. Note, the final compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of relevant experience, Falcon-specific experience, relevant education/certifications, geographic location, and shift.
