Pay Rate: $27.04 per hour
What You’ll Do
As a Mechanical Technician, you’ll play a crucial role in testing, troubleshooting, and repairing sophisticated avionics systems. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Setting up and operating precision test equipment, including oscilloscopes, ohmmeters, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and automated test platforms.
Aligning, calibrating, and adjusting electrical components following established test procedures.
Analyzing circuitry, inspecting wiring, and diagnosing malfunctions in electronic equipment and systems.
Performing complex electrical and mechanical repair operations, including disassembly and reassembly of units.
Ensuring all repairs meet Quality and Workmanship Standards.
Recording repair actions, time tracking, and documentation in SAP or via Service Worksheets.
Preparing detailed repair cost estimates and communicating findings to internal and external customers.
Conducting research to support deep-dive repair estimates, overhauls, and required service bulletins.
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and Lean processes.
Following all safety protocols and supporting efficient workflow and production goals.
Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required
Formal post–high school electronics training or equivalent required
Surface mount and through-hole soldering experience
Ability to perform electronics component-level troubleshooting and repair
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Preferred QualificationsAssociate degree in electronics technology or related discipline
Electronics component-level repair experience
RF repair experience
Advanced understanding of avionics systems, electronics theory, and circuit components
