Reports To: Deputy Technical Training Manager (Airbus or Boeing)

This role is part of a professional team in our Flight Operations Department, which consists of flight crew and ground staff teams, both working to ensure the highest standards of operational efficiency and service. Safety is intrinsic to everything we do.

As an Operations Training Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting technical training courses for flight crew and ground engineers, as well as designing, maintaining, and producing training materials and courseware.

• Conduct technical training courses in line with Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department (HKCAD) and European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) standards
• Perform the roles of knowledge examiner and practical assessor when suitably approved
• Conduct practical training with due care for the safety of students and aircraft
• Co-ordinate and locally manage required aircraft visits for practical training
• Prepare lesson plans, training material, classrooms and training aids
• Maintain training manuals in an up-to-date and effective manner
• Compile questions for examination pools for which he/she is qualified
• Advise on technical subjects within the scope of technical training
• Preserve the confidentiality of privileged, sensitive or otherwise confidential Company and employee information
• Perform tasks as required by the Deputy Technical Training Manager (DTTM) or Technical Training Manager (TTM), and deputize, when nominated, for the applicable DTTM during their absence

• At least 5 years’ experience as a licensed Aircraft Engineer with maintenance experience, and 3 years’ experience in a technical training environment
• Post-secondary non-tertiary education with a recognised certificate in training delivery or an equivalent qualification
• Hold an Aircraft Maintenance Licence or equivalent qualification, and a Certificate of Recognition (COR) for a large commercial aircraft
• Hold approved Flight Crew Technical Instructor and Ground Engineer Technical Instructor qualifications
• Proficiency in IT literate Microsoft office suite, Photoshop, Adobe Pro and other relevant IT applications
• Knowledge of the commercial aviation industry and an understanding of EASA/CAD 147/Part 66 regulations
• Able to construct flight crew and engineer courses digitally and carry out training needs analysis
• Able to construct up to level 3 examination questions to EASA and CAD standards
• Able to work physically on commercial aircraft to deliver quality practical engineer training
• Demonstrate excellent report writing skills and fluency in spoken and written English
